First of all, they do not "Often" perscribe it, hell, they don't perscribe it in most states. However, to answer your primary question, the statistics on truth.com is refering to an equal amount of cannabis smoked to the amount of cigarettes. Now anybody with half a brain knows you don't smoke 20 pot cigarettes in a day. However, a good rule of thumb is, 1 cigarette packed with pot is about 3 cigarettes. That over time, can still do damage to your body, and even cause cancer.
