This happened while being tested for a burning, red , swollen face with a neck rash. Just to touch the face was painful. All tests came back negative. Then toe turned black. Biopsy showed nothing. Symptoms went away after many antibiotics for about 3 weeks and now it is back again. Doctors don't know what is causing this. Can't get into medical center until April 23rd.

Maybe you got bitten by a Brown Recluse spider or some sort of spider - it sounds like a bite that is infected.

Well, a spider bite comes to mind. Sounds like the symptoms of a Brown Recluse bite. They are common spiders in the midwest. Found in dark areas and closets, etc.
Bad thing is, the decay doesn't stop just around the bite. The tissue dies and spreads. A woman had to have her whole hand amputated within two weeks of getting bitten.

Or, the other thing that comes to mind is a blood clot that has cut off circulation. A lady I worked with had a dead, black spot on her finger. That is what it was, a blood clot in the tiny vessels in her hand.

I agree, I would not wait. Go to the emergency room.
