When God clearly says:

1 Thessalonians 4:3
"For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication."

1 Corinthians 10:8
"Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand."

1 Corinthians 7:2
"Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband."

1 Corinthians 6:18
"Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body."

I think they know that it's unacceptable, but because the urge is so strong, they flee from what they have been taught to fulfill as the Bible calls it "youthful lusts."

Some of it is ignorance, some of it is just because they can't stop. And even though it's because they can't stop, God knows the heart and knows if they really want to do His will or not. It's choices. But I know Christians know it's not acceptable.

Well, of course it is not acceptable because of what the scripture tells us and many of us christians do follow GODs laws.....But.....again you have to understand.....christians are only human and are bound to make mistakes and fail God....there is no perfect person on this earth......we live here on earth where we are surrounded by the wicked and sin as the scripture says in 1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”, satan knows our weaknesses and will take any opportunity to strike. No matter who you are there will be times where you will see christians stray away from Gods. When that happens a christian should repent and never do it again. Thankfully we all have that privilege because God is a merciful God, he knows we are human and are bound to fail.

Hurray, you understand that what God says, he means!!! :) I applaud you for not listening to the morally deplorable religious leaders who water down the truth of God's word regarding premarital sex.

Wouldn't the true religion not tolerate a permissive view of what God calls wrong? Wouldn't the true Christian religion also stand by Jesus' words that they be no part of the world and show true love, therefore not engaging in war? And what about all the wonderful scriptures about the meek inheriting the earth- who teaches that promise will be a reality? Find out at the following link. :)

A mature Christian in the Lord should be aware of this.

....the world?...that is a different story, as they assume that Christians at least "keep up with the times" in few areas.

Precisely because they are people. You claim to know what god clearly says, but you have no evidence other than you claim that what man clearly wrote is somehow clearly, in your mind, the word of god. Get real.

I think it's because people just want to do what feels good to them and try to avoid thinking how it conflicts with christianity. Also, there is so much acceptance of it today that it has lost it's sense of wrongness.l

To each his own. Only God can judge a person. Plus it feels good.

People aren't going to stop having sex before marriage. I may, I may not, personally I don't take the bible word for word but and still a Christian.

It is not acceptable, they are not Christians following God's word if they do this. They have become caught up in the false doctrines and man made views we were warned about.

A lot of people get their will, their feelings and desires confused with God's. The Bible says God's ways are not our ways and His way is higher than ours.
