you can use a knife to push it thru or there are wine openers which have long metal prongs that surround the edge of the cork and twist it out. if you do this you do not contaminate the wine. you may also find that you can use a knife imbedded in the cork on one side or the other of the broken opener part , and twist it out slowly but firmly. i have also used a large screw with a pair of pliers when all else has failed. necessity is the mother of invention.

At this point, why don't you simply try to push the cork thru? It shouldn't bother the flavor of the wine and you can always purchase another bottle opener

Pull the cork out by grabbing the end of the bottle opener with common pliers or needle nose pliers.
