We noticed it a couple of weeks ago, but didn't think much of it, until it looks like it's getting bigger. It is red a little bit of blood (like a teeny tiny drop) The whole sore is about the size of a adult thumb print, and doesn't have much hair on or around it.There is also a little bump too. She is also licking it a lot. Any idea's of what it is? Please let me know what you think.

Yes we did clean it and she doesn't go out in the woods only in the summer.

She is three years old sightly overweight (previous owners had no time for her so we got her and now she is losing weight as per vet's orders) The sore started off as a small black mark and now has turned red. She has a fat deposit on the same leg but on the outside of it, the vet is going to keep an eye on the fat deposit. That is all of the skin problems that she has had.

It could be one of the following:
Cancer, tick bite, some sort of infection, depending on its location it could be something else other than mentioned.

Perhaps the following statement should help you:
Bring her to the vet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's nothing I can do. I'm sitting at this computer possibly thousands of miles away from you. I can't see exactly where the bump is, and I haven't been trained as vet. I do know what it could be if you were talking about a human, but otherwise, all the advice I can give you for liability reasons, would be to see a vet.

I am not a vet but I do have experience with a similar sore on a female pit bull I owned, it turned out to be lymphatic cancer, my suggestion to you sadly is get to the vet, dogs usually suffer in silence, there are signs if you know what to look for , one would be staring at the ceiling or wall with eyes closed. It looks funny but it usally means they are in pain. Good luck

could be a cyst or just a hot spot. either way ya need an appointment. soon like in the next week...if it not growing..if it is..then asap cause it could be something else.
till then try putting some vitamine E oil ON it it won't hurt her to lick the oil and it will keep the moisture down.

have your vet take a look at it. but if you god goes outside (espicially in the woods) it might be an infected tick bite. have the vet check it out. if its open, gently dab some rubbing alcohol on it and try to keep her from licking it too much.

sounds like it could be a lick granuloma. If so, not a huge deal. But I agree, an office visit to the vet shouldn't be a huge expense and they should be able to tell you for sure and recommend a treatment.

SHE MIGHT HAVE A BOIL, COMES FROM A SCRATCH USUALLY FROM ANOTHER ANIMAL. IF SO, IT WILL GET PRETTY BIG, THEN POP, YOU CAN USE HOT TOWELS TO HELP WITH PAIN AND POP FASTER. IT SMELLS REALLY BAD AND LEAVES QUITE A HOLE. JUST HELP HER KEEP IT CLEAN, SHE WILL DO A PRETTY GOOD JOB BY LICKING. MAY WANT HER TO GET CHECKED BY A VET, IF IT DONT GO AWAY SOON. COULD BE ALOT OF DIFFERENT THINGS THOUGH.GOOD LUCK!!!

Time to go to the vet. Most likely it is a skin irritation, or moist dermatitis, etc, etc. You didn't' say how old or if she has ever had skin problems. The most likely problem would be a simply cured skin irritation.

It could be alot of things:

An infection
A bug bite
A Growth
A CANCEROUS Growth
And many more...

But take her to one the vet immediately because if theres anything I know about dogs is that they lick certain spots that look bad because they are trying to heal them....

Just take the poor dog to the vet. Yahoo is not the vets office.
Would you like to be treated that way ? Ignored till you are in so much pain you pick at yourself.
