or make snarky remarks like, "if you want to, well its your choice"
I did not ask, I do not think there is a need for someone to impose their opinion on me.
MMMMMMM Big Mac!

Or, "that will make you fat!"
or "have you not seen Super Size Me?"
Yes I did see it, and it just made me want a Mcnuggets, so there!

It actually depends a lot on who's asking, and your personal situation. Are these close friends that are saying that? Are you eating there every single day, twice a day? Have you started gaining weight, particularly more than four or five pounds in the last six months? If so, they might actually have a point. It's a LOT harder to lose fast food weight once you've gained it, and equally hard to tell you've gained it until it's too late and your pants no longer fit.
On the other hand, if it's strangers that are approaching you for simply walking into McDonalds, coworkers that see you with McDonalds at your desk, friends that seem to subsist entirely on eating salad with no dressing, or (even worse) people you eat lunch with, then they have absolutely no right to be nagging you about it. I personally like most of the food there too.
So why do people say it? Because McDonalds has recieved a really unfair ostracizing in media lately. It's "cool" to bash McDonalds even though those same people have probably eaten there dozens of times. Everywhere you turn, there's McDonalds in the news, McDonalds refusing to ban trans fats or whatever, McDonalds spilling coffee on people, McDonalds getting sued by fat people. The chain, once so beloved, seems to be the next thing that people are targetting as the new 'ultimate evil' of the decade.
On the practical side, the meals at McDonalds are no worse for you than some homecooked or resturant meals. Steak and mashed potatoes plus those "healthy" veggies slathered in butter at certain steakhouses has way more fat and calories than a burger and fries. Don't even get me started about buffets with unlimited food.
Honestly, unless you've made it known that you're dieting, those comments are really rude.

They are annoying. They have "ideological" reasons against it.
In my opinion, many of these "protests" against McDonalds are done by people who are wealthy enough to
a) not need a job there
b) have the money to buy healthier options, like sushi.
Don't let people be so damn patronizing.
Here is a solution: don't ever go out to eat with them at mcDonalds. And if they want to go somewhere else, have them pay.
... Or tell them that your great-granddaddy invested in Stock with McDonalds since it was a hamburger trailer on the corner back in the day and "its a family thing".

Our society has become quite censorial and willing to vilify everyone else for the choices they make.
If you enjoy eating at McDonalds, there is nothing wrong with you having some of their delicious menu offerings, provided that you are not using them as your sole source of nutrition.

McDonald's is gross, that's why. And people stupidly believe they're saving money by eating there, but it actually costs much less to buy real food and cook it.
But it's your choice. Who cares, anyway?

It's your personal choice...if you're obese and eating there though, I can see why people that care about your health would be upset.

If people are upset that you're eating McDonald's, they must have miserable lives to worry about something that doesn't even affect them. Eat how you want - it's your choice. Grab me a double cheeseburger while you're at it! ;)

Must be just at your McDonalds or your area's. I say if they make remarks at you. You make remarks at them. Do unto other's as you would have them unto you.

Honestly, its your own choice to eat McDonalds. I chose not to eat fastfood and thats myself. The rest of my family eats it and it doesn't bug me one bit. Everyone's different and i won't impose the way i eat on anyone else, nor should anyone else impose theirs. Don't tell me that i should eat it..i won't tell you not to eat it.

Forget them "tools!" Eat where you want to eat! They don't pay your rent, utilities and they sure as heck don't buy your food! Eat whatever you want to eat! "Yes, I'd like to order a quarter pounder with lots and lot's of CHEESE!" :)
In case you're wondering why I used the word "tools", It's nicer and user friendly. :)
