Because while both Mosley and Mayweather are fast, they're styles are completely different. Shane used his speed to jump in and throw hard shots and out hustle Oscar in the first fight. Floyd will not fight Oscar this way, Floyd will box, use the ring and try to potshot Oscar from the outside and minimize the exchanges. And Floyd is not nearly as strong as Shane and he won't take the chances that Mosley took. And people keep saying that Oscar couldn't handle Mosley's speed, but i disagree somewhat, the first fight was very close and Oscar won the first half of the fight before tiring in the second half and Shane came on to out hustle him down the stretch and get the win. The second fight Oscar won in my opinion, as team HBO thought he had won, Harold Letterman scored it 115-113 for Oscar. I thought he used his jab better and handled Shane's speed well and kept Shane off balance, but he just didn't get the nod. It wasn't like Shane just went in there and overwhelmed Oscar with blazing speed and blew him away, these were two tough, close fights. And while Mayweather's speed may be a bit of a factor come May 5th, it won't be the overwhelming factor that a lot of people think it will be. Oscar is no Carlos Baldomir, believe me, he has good speed of his own.

Also, please keep in mind. Sugar Shane Mosely is sparring with Oscar for the next month to prep him for the intense speed. Its one thing dealing with Shanes speed for a fight...its another thing to get accostomed to Shanes speed over a month.

I also gotta agree...Floyd is not going to put in the work rate that Shane did. Shane matches Pacman in overall punch stats...he can go on for days. Thats not Floyds style.

There are some other advantages. Floyd has NEVER fought a premier fighter as DLH. DLH is also naturally stronger. ALOT more stronger than ANYTHING Floyd has fought against.

The more this fight pans out.....the closer my decision is getting.

Blogbaba's been picking Floyd by decision for months, I think DeLa Hoya's only chance is if Floyd gets careless and tagged early. Floyd doens't hit quite as hard as Shane, but Floyd is much faster. Oscar is in for a long night.

Anyone who say De La Hoya v. Mosley II knows that Oscar got robbed. Just look at the punch stats.
