I have a really pretty friend, she's white. She tells me when ever she walks by the asian guys take a glance, and look away right like they are afraid to stare. Like lyncing was so 50 years ago. He is asian too not black. It happens a lot of the times she tells me. She says whites guys are more confident. Could it be because asian guys are more shy or just afraid of the culture and physical differences? She's hot.

No one should ever feel discouraged to persue someone because of race.
But one also cannot deny that there is still a lot of racial tension. People may not be outright and in your face anymore, but prejudice and oppression still exist.
And what does it matter that he's asian and not black?
Those guys may be afraid to stare because of the fact that she's hot. No one wants to be caught staring at someone that's good looking.
As long as people act like there is a difference between races or even notice these differences, for example this question of asians and whites... there will always be racism, there will always be races that are afraid to ask out other races, and people's priorities will always be wrong.

Well...Im an asian.Bangladeshi,to be more precise.I definately do not think that asian guys are shy...lol..there r a lot of kool peepz out here u know:P...
However...as for your friend..it could have been that as her culture is different(the way she dresses up,walks etc)..she might have done something that's unusual to asians.that explains the stares.and definately no1 was afraid to stare.that's misconcept.
Your concept is unlikey because a lot of Western and European people work here.And it's not that people get to see a white person once in a blue moon.we live with them...we r friends with them...things have changed.races dont matter..all the people r same.

probably just culture. i think that asian guys who grew up here aren't like that though, unless their parents are traditional, bc im half asian and my brothers not like that, and then i have an asian guy friend and he's DEFINITELY not shy
