So, I know right - another weight struggle. But I got to know if what I'm going through needs serious help or what I can do on my own. Here's my situation. I'm 17 years old, 5'5", and 140. I gained about 15 pounds in the past year and a half. Mostly from late night binging and the fear and obsession of becoming fat have been my struggle. I don't know why I can't just eat healthier or exercise more. It's like everytime I start doing good for a few days- and when I say good I mean just eating normally, like not dieting even- I then crash and start eating everything. It's totally a mental thing that I can't get beyond. How can I get past this?

It sounds like this is bothering you a lot and you should see a therapist or something similar...who can help you a lot better than the folks here can, to see that weighing 140 is not a bad thing and you can't eat perfectly every day.

Ask your self, DEEP INSIDE, WHY do you want to control the weight. Then, make a promise to yourself what you would do about it. If you can not keep a promise to yourself, how can you be a reliable person to others? So, less likely you will keep your promise. But you MUST commit and grab deep inside of you. Its your journey, its about YOU. You have the total control.
