Sounds to me like you should have a talk with mom. You might not be the biological father...but you are raising him...there is more to dad that being a sperm donor... a true dad is doing what you are doing.... talk to mom about it...tell her that in order to raise this child it will take two parents..and he must listen to both of you. The child is probably confused and dosent know who to listen to. A talk with him would be a good idea too.

Now, you may not like my answer. But it is what it is. You need to tell this child that as long as he was 6 months you have been taking care of him like he was your own son. You provide the food in his belly and that as long as he lives in your house he will do as you say. If he gives you the crazy look, tell him that if he doesn't like it, he can get a job, find his own place to stay and support himself. Thats a little hard to say if this child is like under 10 because he might not understand. But most importantly, have your wife, his mother there with you and have her take your back. If the parents stand united as one then the child will realize that he has to bend. You should also tell your wife's sister in front of your wife that you do not appreciate her bad mouthing your parenting. And tell her, the sister-in-law that she should not be jealous because you are a good father. A man takes care of kids that are not his....This is why it takes a village to raise a child. Every boy is not a man, every man is not a father.

Tell those step sisters that unless they did what you did, they need to shut the hell up. You picked up what another man threw on the floor. Can they say the same about themselves? And let that step son know that right now you're the only father he has and don't ever forget it.

talk to him and let him know you love him as if he was your own. your wife's step sisters had no business telling him anything. i would also lay the law down with them. that was up to you and your wife to tell the child. good luck and god bless.

THIS KID IS A REAL UNGRAGRATEFUL ***** ~SMALL BOYS ARE YOUNG----TOO BAD HE'S TOO YOUNG TO REALIZE THAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR HIM WHAT HIS DEAD BEAT OF A BIOLOGICAL FATHER DID NOT AND HAS NOT DONE FOR HIM----YOUR WIFE IS NOT VERY SMART...IF SHE WAS, SHE WOULD SPEAK TO YOUR SON ABOUT HIS NASTY BEHAVIOR AND ADVICE HIM TO TREAT YOU WITH NOTHING BUT RESPECT BECAUSE YOU HAVE BEEN THE ONLY FATHER THE BOY HAS EVER KNOWN IN HIS LIFE.
