Someone explain to me why there is so much controversey in bringing the troops home when no one is doing anything about the 75,000 abortions that took place last year in Texas alone? I don't understand the reasons people have for wanting to save a life and wanting to end a life. My hubby served the Army for 20 years with me right beside him so I am all for saving our troops. But just like my husband, these guys knew what could happen when they enlisted. They are highly trained and qualified to do the job they are doing right now. However, an innocent babe has no say about being ripped apart as it is suctioned from it's mother's womb. There is absolutely no understanding in this madness on either side. God help us and forgive us.

And to answer one of you, I did work with my best friends daughter who was heading for an abortion and now she has decided to allow her baby life. One of the worst aspects of abortion, is the mother living with the decision she made to destroy her own child. While we are told by so many people that it's not really a baby, it's just a "fetus," it is still something that the mother will never forget and sometimes never get her life back on track afterwards.

To the gal who thinks I should work in an orphanage...I fostered over 65 children in a 12 year period and adopted 4 of those children. What have you done to improve the situation?

The abortion debate doesn't belong on the military board.

Well, there are several possible reasons I suppose.
1) They don't think abortion is murder, as a fetus is not a life from their perspective.
2)They recognize that a fetus is a life, but not as worthy as out of womb human life, so therefore okay to kill, like an animal.
3)They think that it is okay to kill a human life in certain circumstances.
4)They feel that the unborn baby is dying for a worthy cause, such as saving the life of the mother, preventing suffering from disability or poverty, or something like that.

The fact that have adopted an unwanted baby.
You have paid support to a mother who made the right decision.
By ensuring kids have easy access to birth control
By supporting sex education in school
By voting for the right person, God will understand.
but if you can think of one thing to stop a mother making the wrong decision, and you haven't done it then you have failed God

Most of those aborted babies are going to be future liabilities anyway. A better question is what about all the innocent iraqi children deaths caused by reckless american imperialism?
