There is a spray you can get at walmart or the pet store that will counteract with the dog and make him stay out of the garden you use it on areas in and outside and its safe on your garden to repell him off things you dont want him on. It worked for us.

This seems more like common sense to me.

1) Find a book or online article about how best to train your dog. This will probably involve conditioning and/or rewards and punishment.

2) Take the dog to a "doggie class." This will help both you and the dog understand more about training and being trained, respectfully.

3) You absolutely must put in the time and effort it will take to train him properly. Without that little else is of much use.

Keep him on a leash in the garden.

Go to the vet and get flea meds. They will stop the scratching, or the vet will tell you what's wrong.

If he is scratching all the time he should be taken to your veterinarian for a check up ... fleas, allergies, diseases, etc should all be ruled out. You need to find the underlying cause of the scratching. :-)

Put him on a chain, or put a fence around the garden.

Left over Afghani land mines?

Ok, what about sprinkle cayenne pepper along the ground, they hate it. Works for rabbits and cats too.

Hope that works.

He probably has fleas. Give him a flea bath and get a flea collar and treat the rugs and upholstery with flea killer. Good luck.

You might need to get a leash and put him on it when he is outside.

I use either baby shampoo for baths or aveeno oatmeal shampoo.

keep him inside the house or put a barrier to the door when it's open.
