For me it has been seeing all the irreverent and vile God and Jesus-bashing on here, along with twisting the Scriptures around to accuse God of things they have no true understanding of. Also the hatred of Christians in general. I never knew they felt that way before, I thought they just didn't believe.

READ THIS ENTIRE THING BEFORE YOU GO GIVE ME SOME RANDOM BAD RATING JUST BECAUSE I AM AN ATHIEST!!!!!

well, since I am an athiest myself, I cannot completely say I know exactly why they hate us... well you can always think this, do brainwashed people like to go against "thier ideals"? obviously not. Believe me, Im not hating on any religion or anything, but when people take it too far and judge others based off of thier own beleifs, then you get the ignorant hate that religious extremeists have. What we athiests have realized, compared to the others i.e. hardcore christians, is that there are other people out there in the world, not everyone beleives in the same thing. personally, I dont hate christians or anything, its just I hate the certian religious people that try to apply their religion to everyone, especially those "jehova's or w/e witnesses" they are ignorant fools that have egotistical problems, thinking that thier god is better then any other person's god... its sickening how they try to spread their beliefs on others.

basically, the reason why they "hate" us is because they cant accept our views, they can only look inside thier puny little sphere of conservative thoughts, just like how a small child is ignorant of others well beings (btw, most children are almost entirely self-centered until around the age of 7). all the hardcore religious people are mostly ignorant, you have extremeist Christians hating on Muslims, and you have extremist muslims hating on christians, eventually the hate will lead to conflict, and they will kill each other... a very unsightly situation, but you have religion being used as reasons for war quite often. eventually, everyone wont be so devoted to their religious beliefs in the future hopefully.
personally I beleive that a future that is mostly religious free is the way to less conflict, and less ignorance.

And to all you disgruntled people that are ready to get your pitchforks and torches, think for a moment, does the world really revolve around you? is there a possibility that others feel as strongly about thier different beliefs as you do? you are not alone in this world, get along with others and try to understand them, and maybe we might just have a better world.

I have to laugh a little everytime I hear an atheist talk about his or her belief or read what they have to say. Seems to me that most atheist go to great lengths to defend their disbelief. I have no argument with any of you. I am a christian believer and am quite happy with it. I don't give a flip whether you or anyone else agrees with me or not. You are free to stake your life on whatever you believe in or disbelieve in.. I really don't care, but I do have one question for all of you.. where do you go from here?

Maybe you're the one being narrow minded. You just said that atheists don't like Christians. I can see that many atheists don't dislike Christians, and I am a Christain who does not dislike all atheists. Maybe religious people get defensive because you are not being respectful...I don't know if that's true, I'm just saying, it's a possibility.

Perhaps you should reflect back and read many of your hateful questions for Christians. You can't even be sincere in your questions ....two face Atheist

What you do to Christians, would come back on you ten times more. What comes around goes around.

Who cares? Really? And, anyway how can an atheist hate something, (God), that he believes doesn't exist? Funny thing is atheists refer to God more than Christians do on here. Probably a little "God Fearing" there, eh?

And I imagine that most people here that claim to be atheists are probably just teenagers who think they are being funny. Don't ya think?

I am a Christian and I don't assume that atheists hate God. I also do not assume that all atheists hate me. I respect other people and their unique beliefs...you should try it out sometime.

Furthermore I am totally intrigued by some of the aetheists on yahoo answers constantly questioning Christians and God. If you don't belive why such interest?

And by the way we hate the sins (yours and mine) but we love you!!!!! LOVE YOU!!!! Soak it up!

Props to Steve b!

Basically, you dislike Christians because they are Gods people, they bring conviction of sin, and instead of seeing it as love and concern for you, you choose to listen to the enemy instead of the Holy Spirit, and the enemy stirs your heart to hatred of anything holy or righteous, you have "stiffened your neck" to the things of God and salvation. In short, in loving sin, you hate God. Call me a liar.

You still don't get it.
God is spelled with a capital "G".
I guess it will be your soul that is lost. So hate on but, I forgive you of your short sightedness.
Love God

By the way. It is a capital "G" because I said so. So let it be written. So let it be done.
And by the way. Only the weak in spirit give up. Those who are strong in my Son will run forever.

Don't group me with you on that last statement. I'm an atheist who happens to like, and get along with most Christians.
