There are some vintage TV episodes I would like to download for my private enjoyment, but I don't have an Apple computer, and ITunes seems the only application out there that has the downloadable tv episodes I'm interested in.

I think if you go to download quicktime from:

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html

it will ask you about iTunes.
You just choose a windows version.

Just head to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and choose 'Windows XP'. It will work exactly the same as on a Mac.
