I have felt betrayed by God.

I recognize that I was not betrayed. I believe that the father of lies wants me to feel betrayed. I do NOT believe I was betrayed. However I have felt I was betrayed. It is a feeling. Feelings are not always reality. Just because I FEEL it does not mean it is true.

You can FEEL afraid of the dark, however, in reality be perfectly safe.

It is also true that a shaken faith is a leading cause of major depression.

How the hell can I feel betrayed by a nonexistent ancient Hebrew war god?

I do, however, feel betrayed by Zeus.

...I've been playing WAY too much God of War 2.

Absolutley. It's amazing how quickly an "all-loving, all-forgiving" god will turn his back on you as soon as you decide you will no longer bow before him.
