Ask God for help. I have the same problem and knowing that I am loved no matter what by my creator helps. This is a mental thing that you are just going to have to overcome day by day. When you start thinking negative thought ask yourself these questions.."Is what I am thinking helping me at all? How is it making me feel? What is something positive I can think about or do right now to counter act this junk in my head?" Then if you can do some excercise for about 30 min. Once you start breaking a sweat you will forget all about the junk in your head for the time being. It takes some work and I am still working on it but it helps.

Decide to forgive yourself and forgive others whom have hurt you. Forgiveness is a choice, not an emotion. The emotional attachment to the mistakes, over time, can melt away, as you continually decide to forgive.

Also, there is a lesson, something positive, in everything that we experience. What have you learned that will guide you in the future, from your mistakes? The lesson is the gold, and realizing that makes it all worthwhile.

By the way, are you a perfectionist? It is okay to make mistakes. Safe.

Best of luck to you.

Look to the future. I get this way a lot too. I dwell on past things and get insomnia consequently. Just look to the future and plan on doing things better next time. It is hard to move on, but realize there is nothing more you can do about things that happened but either apologize, or talk to the person said experience was with. The future is so busy, that you are not going to have time nor need to reflect on negative occurences.

Read The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

Just let the feelings pass. Don't own them, but don't ignore them. Feel them to the fullest. They will be transformed.

that's definitely a toughie.

I have the same problem.

Are you religious if so turn to the higher power and ask for help. If not turn to someone you look up to for strength.

It's getting easier. i still think about them but they don't seem quite as bad.
