..i was on my way home from work at night when this guy tried to approach me on the street. i was walking and he kept staring at me hard. then he came up to me and asked me my name and age (but i didnt give it to him) and then he said "i see ur in a rush to go home, does that mean i cant talk to u" and i said ye pretty much and then he was like "ok ill see u later". its not like i knew him, he was a total stranger. it was really weird and uncomfortable, like i hate being approached during the day much less at night..i jus dont understand why they think its ok to do that..dat aint right...

I know i hate that! guys are so stupid sometimes. if he doesn't have common sense enuff to know that a woman mite not want to get hit on by a stranger at nite, then i'm not gonna waste my time with him.

Okay this guy probably saw something about you which peaked his interest. Whether it really should be something you need to be worried about really depends on how he reacted to you. Perhaps he picked up on your closed-up-wanna-be-home-yesterday hurry and thought he could somehow help (knight in shining Armour) or perhaps he saw you as needy and that he could make leeway with you? Honestly it could have just been a poor judgement on his part.

I only know that once while on my way alone walking on a very busy main street on the way to a dance club wearing a skirt just above my knees and high heels I experienced something like this. ALTHOUGH it was a guy driving the opposite way who hung out his window on this traffic clogged street to heckle me (hornily) as I was on my way. He was all like 'where ya going girl....' which I ignored. It scared the heck out of me but it made me all the more aware of my surroundings. Always be vigilant/observant of your surroundings.

Guys aren't as conscious of situations the way women are. They don't walk home at night and worry that they'll make it home safely. Women are more in tune to their surroundings and more prone to worry. Guys are the complete opposite.

If you're not comfortable, ignore him would be the best solution and move away to a crowded place just to be safe.
