Address nutritional needs. A diet rich in amino acids and moderate exercise often times alleviates.

Check out In Liven, a nutritional supplement rich in amino's (20 of them!).

Best of luck to you!

I personally see a psychologist once a week and a psychiatrist once a month. I'm on 2 medications for anxiety and depression and one for sleeping. However, it's different for everyone. I would suggest making an appointment with a psychologist and taking it from there. They may recommend counseling or even medication depending on the severity. Don't let it get out of hand though, it will only get worse and worse. Make the phone call as soon as possible.

God is the answer to everything. Pray and ask for forgiveness and his help. He always gives you everything you need to get through any trial. I know all about this and there is no quick fix or immediate cure to depression. Drugs are ok if you want them but they dont fix the problem they just mask the symptoms. You have to look inside you and find out what it is about you that has let you sink into depression. The cause is not an outward issue its something that is inside you. Once you forgive yourself, forgive others who have hurt you and give yourself over to God you will begin your healing. This is a process and not an easy thing at all. God bless and I hope you are able to get through this. Drop me a line if you need a friendly ear.

Accept yourself for who you are and dont compare yourself to other people. This will improve your self worth, also create a list of 6 things you are happy with and 6 things you are not. For everything you are not happy with create another list contradicting it and give ways of improving the situation.

Example. I dont have money to do what I want. Positive response - I have a job, I have no credit cards etc.

I do something for someone else. Ideally, volunteer work for the needy. But even if it's just a small favor for a friend, it cheers me up cause it gets me out of my own head and into realistic perspective.
