Why do you consistently and systematically make excuses for the utter failure of your God to do anything at all?

I used to do that for my ex-husband. Is God like your ex-husband?

Um, I would assume that it would take a person with "true faith" to go around pointedly thinking thoughts to a deity and expect that to actually achieve anything...

If you're just praying that He'll do "His will," then what's the point? By definition, isn't that what He would do, anyway?

Why should God solve our problems? Is it God's fault that we are in this situation? What have we done to solve our problem? God is not an instrument to be used to solve our problems. God has given us everything we need so that we can live in peace and be happy. He knows what we need before we even ask. Does this mean we should not pray anymore? Of course not. When we pray, we should just let go and let God be God.

May the Lord's peace be with you!

The good news, Often He answers YES and it is awesome to see something happen and the ONLY explanation is that God did it.

There was a time when I prayed on faith alone, after seeing God and God alone answer yes to prayers that were according to His will, faith is there but the past is evidence that He can and does answer prayer.

God can't always say yes to a prayer. What if two people prayed for the opposite things how can he say yes to both. For ex. If there were two people, one wanted snow that day and the other didn't want snow. and they lived in the same house. Let's say the one that wanted snow didn't just want snow she wanted two feet of snow. How can God let it snow two feet and not snow at all in the same house. One of them will not get their prayer answered.

God sometimes may answer our prayer, but it may not be now it will be when we need it most. God knows what is best for us. Sometimes we pray for our own selfish needs and not what is best. People pray for our loved ones when they're on their death beds. We are all going to die at sometime. Sometimes we live to be at an old age other times we're very young. We will never understand why people have to die young, but God does have his reason's. He is perfect and makes no mistakes.

God always answers our prayers. Sometimes it is yes, sometimes no, and sometimes later. We need to pray for His will to be done when we pray.

You can't just have whatever you want just because you prayed for it. First of all, you really have to want and mean the prayer. And God might not think you deserve the prayer for some reason or another. And maybe if your prayer came true, something terrible would happen as a side affect so He didnt give it to you

Thats what i think, im not necesarily speaking for all Christians

God has answered my prayers with yes way more times than he has said no. He has given me things that I hadn't even asked for. just wished for. I remember one time going to the house of a friend in a certain town. I was so impressed with the community she lived in, and the house she had that I thought to myself, boy, I sure would love to live in a house like this in this pretty town. Well I am now her neighbor. And the way I got here is pretty amazing. I didn't even ask God for that It was just a passing thought. He works like that all the time. No excuses here.

No one says you have to believe in Him. I believe God has a plan for everyone, sometimes he chooses not to "answer" prayers because he has a plan, even if it is death. God does not ignore, God answers. I don't make excuses for your utter failure to change my faith in my God.

I understand your frustrations. However, sometimes God does say "no" because that is what is really best for you and you may not realize it. we don't always know what to pray for. i have prayed for many things and could not handle it when it happened. and sometimes God will answer your prayer but you have to be patient as He is on His time table and not yours.

Hope this helps and God bless

1) I don't say that, and I am most assuredly a "Christian". Ergo, there goes your premise.

2) The perfect prayer is the one Our Savior Christ taught us. The Lord's Prayer. We ask that "His Will be done". That's it.

3) His will is always being done if we yield to it. God is always forming us into that person that He wants us to become. His will, not mine, be done.

4) He is the potter, we are the clay.

No , he doesn't always answer prayers , if you don't have faith in him , why should he help you out ? God will never leave me or forsake me , because I trully believe. I'm sorry to hear about your marriage.

If you are not a believer, or living in willful sin, God has no obligation to even hear your prayers. I have seen many prayers answered, my own and others. "Your sins have hidden My face, so I cannot hear your prayers"
