Very easy - Infact I know 3 people who did it and one of them has continued living in Iran for past 40 years. She is still there.

For official purposes you need to obtain an Iranian passport and this requires you to attend the embassy and also to recite some religious words. After that you are resident and just need to brush up on the language.

Life in Iran is much easier than life in america and the standard of life is considerably higher in Iran.

I guess there could be a problem if she was from a Muslim family and you were not Muslim, since non-Muslim men are not allowed to marry Muslim women, and also people are not allowed to publically convert from Islam.

Otherwise, the Swiss embassy in the US handles stuff on behalf of Iran, since there are no diplomatic relations between the two since 1980.

Good luck!
