Yes you can definitely thaw and refreeze meat and it will be safe.
The problem is how long you leave it thawed and what that temperature is. If you cook it and let it cool at room temperature for many hours you could have a problem. But if you handle it with care-- refrigerate or freeze within 30 minutes to an hour after cooking it will be ok if it is handled properly.
The texture and quality may not be as good but it is safe.

I'm assuming you mean thawing it from a frozen state and then refreezing it.
I wouldn't even go there. The most you should do if you've thawed something (depending on what type of meat - maybe beef) is to place it in the coldest part of your fridge for a further day, but after that I certainly wouldn't eat it or refreeze for consumption later on.
It doesn't seem natural to keep changing the state of something and then assume it is okay, because it's not as fresh as they day you bought it.
My rule is - if you're having doubts, chuck it, it's too risky otherwise.

No it's not. When u unthaw it, bacteria multiplies & acts on it.
If u re-freeze it, there is more bacteria in the meat n continues to act on it
It's bad to eat meat tt has gone off.

No. Cook the meat and then it will be safe to freeze.
Never ever refreezee raw meat, the next time you try to eat that you will most likely end up with food poisoning.
Be careful.

to 'unthaw' something IS to freeze it, hon - lol - common mistake. and as a general rule, you shouldn't thaw something out and the put it in the freezer again.

"Unthaw"? You want to freeze and then freeze again? That should be fine.

throw it away because you will get very sick. if you had frozen fresh, then thawed, then cooked and froze - it would have been ok.
