The trick to a green tea diet is simple. Green tea contains a high level of tannins. Tannins inhibit digestion; which is why animals that live on a diet of tree leaf exclusively are always eating to get enough nutrients (Koalas and tree sloths come to mind).

Most diets on the market today say they are effective "... when used in conjunction with any sensible excercise program..." Of course, this is a 'universal escape clause' as you will lose weight with '... any sensible excercise program...' diet or no diet.

The first thing you should do is discuss your weight problem with your physician to determine the root cause; then work out a sensible plan to deal with it.

Fad diets seldom work and are usually only good for slimming down your bank account.
