There is T-Mobile service in Honolulu, however, the coverage area is quite weak if you're not in one of the major cities.
As far as your roaming question, you have to check with your service provider for the exact details.
Have a great trip!

The only accurate way to find out if you will have service or will have to pay roaming charges is to call your cell provider (in this case TMobile) and ask about your rate plan and coverage areas. They are the only ones who can give you a difinate answer.
I can tell you that I have Cingular and I have never had a problem with getting a signal in Honolulu (or Maui) and have never had to pay roaming due to the plan I have.

I am T-Mobile customer in Honolulu. So far, coverage are pretty good, except some remote places.
Whether there is any roaming charge, please check with T-Mobile directly. It all depends on what your rate plan include.

I have T-mobile and use it all over Oahu, never have had a problem with reception. Roaming charges depend on what kind of plan you have.

Ask your provider. I have Verizon, and my particular plan includes Hawaii. My calls to "the mainland" were just as clear as a local call.
