Although a lot of herbal things are good for you, cleansers are not one of them. Science and chemicals over powers natural ingredients here.

For acne you need a facial cleanser with Salicyc Acid or a spot treatment with Benzol Peroxide. Depending on how bad your acne is, you might want to go to a dermatologist ... a long time ago my dermatologist gave me a medicated face cream and I haven't had a pimple since, and my skin looks like porcelain. Birth control is also good for controlling acne...if you're a girl that is lol.

Easy Non-Toxic Acne Remedies

Here are a couple of non-toxic, relatively inexpensive acne remedies to try:

Oatmeal is very dry and absorbs oil from the skin. Make a thick paste from oatmeal and water then apply to the face in the morning and evening. Allow the paste to stay on face for 10 to 20 minutes before rinsing with cool water.

Tomatoes work wonders for oily skin as well. After mashing a ripe tomato drain the juice on paper towels for a few minutes. Now take the tomato pieces and pat them onto the face, while lying back, and leave for fifteen to twenty minutes. Rinse with warm water. Do this treatment once daily, preferably in the morning.

Another effective facial mask for those with oily skin is made from honey and apples. After grating the apple into a fine pulp mix in four tablespoons of honey and apply to face for ten minutes. Or beat an egg white until stiff and add a few drops of witch hazel and a few drops of lemon juice. Spread the mixture over the face and leave for fifteen minutes. Rinse well with barely warm water.

Make a paste of baking soda and water and apply it to affected areas at bedtime; let stand overnight; repeat every night for a week. This will remove blackheads.
Mix 10 grams juice of white onions with 5 grams honey and 1 gram rock salt and apply on pimples.
Wash your face thrice a day and apply calamine lotion on the pimples.
Apply a paste made out of ground mint leaves on the pimples and leave overnight. This will ease the pimples and clear other blemishes also.
Any eye drops with the redness reliever, tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride, applied to individual blemishes with a cotton swab helps to reduce the redness of the blemish so it is less noticeable!
With a cotton ball, apply a few drops of tea tree essential oil to affected areas. This oil has antibacterial properties.
Avoid stress!
Don't use alcohol based cleansers because the might get your problem worst. Mild is best. Also don't rub too hard, and never squeeze!
If any of these remedies work consult a dermatologist

If what you want is a good herbal cleanser, I would recommend you to buy a cleanser that contain tea tree oil, a anti-acne bacteria agent. It kills the bacteria that causes acne to treat and prevent acne.

Home Remedies
1. Keep a bowl of water in the fridge and splash this cold water on your face 3-4 times a day.Cold water will not only leave you feeling refreshed but will also tighten the pores.

2. Neem leaves are excellent for pimples.Crush washed neem leaves to form a paste and apply this to the affected parts.Leave it on for at least an hour.Neem will help the pimples dry up faster.

3. For marks and blemishes left behind by pimples use calamine lotion.Just dab some lotion on the blemishes at bedtime and they will gradually fade away.

4. A great pack for oily skin is the chilled cucumber.Finely grate cucumber or blend a cucumber in the blender to form a paste.Chill in the fridge.Apply it on the face and relax for 15 minutes.Wash off with cold water. For best results, repeat twice a week, on a clean, cleansed face.

Homemade Moisturizer for Oily, acne-prone skin

Mix 1 medium sized apple (grated) with 5 Tb sp. honey. Smooth over skin, let sit for about 10 minutes, and then wash off with COOL water.

Just apply fresh fruit to your face is good. Your skin absorbs the vitamins and minerals. Leave on for 10 minutes or so, then wash off. 6) A good toner/astringent is witch hazel, which is a very inexpensive alternative to the pricey products with cosmetic names. You can use it with a mild inexpensive moisturizer such as Cetaphil daily for a nice complexion.

I would imagine tea tree oil face wash is good for acne. TheBody Shop sells this. I would also suggest Panoxyl Bar 10% Benzoil Peroxide soap, which is sold in most drugstores. If all else fails, see a skin doctor.

Best Wishes
