Whats wrong with them? Is it fat or another health concern? I LOVE my carbs and ate them all the way while I lost 20lbs, so I KNOW its not that fattening, so what is it? Does it clog your arteries like a hamburger?

Carybohydrates are very important for healthy living. Most carbohydrates that you consume are broken down into simple sugars and, most importantly, glucose. Glucose is the the fuel that your brain prefers in healthy body states. Be good to your brain and give it some carbohydrates.
There is some concerns that too much carbohydrates, especially refined carbohydrates, along with other risk factors can lead to type 2 diabetes. If you worried about this I would consult with your doctor and he/she would be able to go over your risk factors with you.

You are correct. Carbs are vital nutrients and are the primary fuel source for the brain and the entire nervous system. In addition, they are the ONLY fuel source for the red blood cells and the kidneys. Low carb diets are very hard on the kidneys, and create a severe risk of hypoglycemia.

Also, you are right about the fact that the most fattening substance is fat (9 cals/gram) and not carbs (4 cals/gram). We simply cannot get more than 9 calories out of only 4.

This type of rampant misinformation is what happens when the nation takes weight loss advise from someone who is obese (Dr. Atkins).

nothing, the bad ones turn into sugar that turn to fat if u dont use them for energy
