They have'nt gone anywhere. The Egyptian, Greek and Roman gods are still being actively worshipped. In fact in Greece the mumbers of worshipers of the TRUE Greek gods has been estimated to be near a million by some soures (NBC news for one back in 04). There are a great many people workdwide that still follow the Greek, Roman and Egyptian gods.

As for the Maya, I can't really say. I have heard rumors that there are groups in Central and South America that have taken up the old worship, but I have not been able to verify the veracity of them. (Although I do know several people in Mexico that follow the Aztec gods).

The Gods themselves don't go anywere. They are always there, awaiting the return of their worshippers.

When Christianity spread most of the old customs and traditions involving the worship of the Old Gods were absorbed into the new religion. Easter, Virgin Birth etc.

Some people still do worship the Old Gods. Wiccans, Pagans and countless others who don't identify with either.
