It saddens me when I see in this forum so many remarkably good answers being thumbed-down while the uncalled-for ones are being thumbed-up by people whose sense of balance (if there is any), I could not fathom.

I'm sorry to sound uptight, but I just can't stand seeing the answers I truly treasure to end up being treated unfairly, rudely and shabbily....

It may reflect a larger problem in our society.

It is a shame that the truth is often treated so shabbily. Personally, I give a good rating even to those with whom I disagree, if they make me laugh, or make their point with kindness. Some folks cannot hide their control issues. We had to form the government we have, to protect us from each other's good intentions.

I receive many thumbs downs for my answers. I do not let this deter me from giving honest answers from my heart when I can. The thumbs down mean little to me. Whether it be thumbs up or down, I know someone has read my answer and perhaps someone was helped by it.

sometimes you have to take the good with the bad. Not everyone in life is going to agree with you. For that I am thankful. I am not always right and if not for the difference of opinion I might not see the other side, might not see the truth. I, then, would be a fool.

You can't control other people. If you truly treasure an answer, bookmark it so you can come back & read it. Or cut & paste it to your own "treasures" file.

Quit worrying about what other people think. It's useless. Learn about yourself and be true to what YOU think.

Like any other forum, this one has its share of "wise guys", radicals, and people who are maladjusted in various ways. The "law of averages" dictates that this is true.

In fact, maybe this forum has more than its share.

I understand, but this is what happens when opinions differ. There are many different points of view in the world. It pays to be open to them.

No worries, what had been seen as good answers to you might be desecrating to others, especially towards things they had held on for life.

As usual, each has their own opinions :D
