Your entire question is illogical. People criticize religion because it's irrational, it causes people to behave in an irrational way and it accomplishes very little. Your question assumes that you have to hate religion if you like science and hate science if you like religion. This is not a logically supportable proposition.
I can criticize religion because of it's own lack of any merits, completely separately from my feelings about science. Science and religion are not comparable. Science is just a tool. It's just a method of explaining how things work. How man uses the information gleaned from the scientific process is a whole other issue. That technology gets misused is a fault of man, himself, not science. You can misuse any tool. You can bludgeon with a hammer, or stab a person through the heart with a screwdriver. This doesn't make the hammer or the screwdriver evil.
By the way, it'll be science and technology that will fix the global warming problem and save us all, not your impotent religion.

So that makes all of the deaths that were inspired by religion OK? Which is more likely to cure global warming. A deity that has been absent for 2000 years or science which has rapidly advanced since the cotton gin?

Congratulations! This is the most unreasonable question I have ever answered.
Global warming wasn't created by science. Global warming was created by GOD. This is how it works: either God "programmed" the world to start heating up right about now, or God created human instinct, which tells us to get as powerful as possible (a.k.a. make more money), so billionaires create huge businesses, build huge factories, and pollute the air with greenhouse gases.
We don't know why the Earth is heating up, but if God exists, it is undoubtedly his fault.

What? Of course it's science, because it's reality. Did you expect an angel from heaven or hell to come and destroy the earth? Of course not.
If anything can save the earth, it is also science. But if that were to happen, you would give God the credit.

Um, science did not create global warming, it only pointed it out. Charles Darwin did not invent evolution and the meteorologist on Channel 3 did not create the snowstorm. Al Gore created neither global warming nor the Internets.
To use your logic, I could say the Bible invented God.

Is science responsible for the global warming on Mars too? Maybe it was those two rovers that we put there.

This is the second question in two days that confuses cause and method when discussing religion and science.
The Crusades were CAUSED BY religion (both Christianity and Islam.)
Science was the METHOD by which pollution was created.
Please learn the difference.

Are you trying to say that science invented global warming? Science did not create global warming, but simply discovered it.

If you believe your statement to be true, go to this website and read what you will find before you.
Carl Sagan was not out to destroy the world my friend, nor are others like him. Mistakes happen but the goal is knowledge.
