i gave my 6 yr old daughter who weighs 45-50 pounds a dose of triaminic cold and flu about 4 hours ago.im all out of that so i want to give her some tylenol cold and allergy.how long should i wait to give it to her?

It depends on how she is acting. If she is in need of some sort medicine, give her some now. If she isn't, hold off until she does need it.

A body heals better on it's own. We give medicine to kids so they sleep better and WE sleep better, not to make them "Better faster."

I am not a health professional but I believe you can re-dose her after 4-6 hours. Unless you are using two different types of medicine with different pain relievers. Aceteminophen and Ibuprofen can be given in close range of each other. I only know this because my twins used to get fevers that would not come down. So I would dose them with children's advil and then about 2 hours later I would give them children's tylenol. At my doctor's advice. However, having said that, "cold" medications also contain other ingredients other than pain relievers. So I think your best bet is to wait the 4-6 hours, give her the new stufff, and watch her carefully, looking for signs of extreme agitation or other adverse side effects. Hope this helps.

4 hours is long enough from the last time you gave any meds
