I had a friend who described something really gross that grossed me out pretty well and I think I'd need to discuss that one thoroughly before I could be convinced to go for it.

Lead him on. It's what I would do...believe me. If you're too shy tell him- just plain out tell him because he will. Depends how far though...make sure you're positive.
