I have a small lump in my armpit, can it be breast cancer? If not, what is it?

It could, but it also may just indicate and infection of any kind. It's a lymph node that is swollen, just like the ones in your neck. Actually you may feel the ones in your neck if they are swollen it is probably just some infection that isn't too serious. Just to be sure I would go see the doctor, but i wouldn't worry too much about it. It's recommended that people at age 40 get a baseline mammogram. I'm not sure of your age though. But best advice is to see the doctor.

Yes it is a possibility BUT don't jump to conclusions. Lymph nodes are located in your arm pit as well and if you are trying to fight an infection they could have swollen up. Or it could even be a cyst. A lot depends on how long you've had it and if it hurts. Just to be sure you should make an appointment with your physician. I'm sure they would be able to tell right away and therefore you will know. Hope this helps. There are many websites online. These give different examples on where the lump is located and how it feels.

That is either a dormant tumour or a form of skin cancer. Does it look like a miniature nuclear bomb? If so, it's one of the above and you may be able to get it removed with liquid Nitrogen freezing treatment.

They are probably lymph nodes. I get hard, painful lumps under my arms every once and a while. As long as it goes away, it's not a problem.

it may be a cyst, later it will form into a big pimple-like thing with a center mound and will let out. it is formed by trapped germs and sweat
