Everytime a member of the family trips up the stairs someone asks if they are ok to make sure that they didn't in fact really hurt themselves. I just did about 10 minutes or so ago, and nobody asked. It was really loud, and i screamed. and nobody asked "are you ok?"....My arm really hurts, including my elbow(its how i fell..on my right arm). and my toes on my left foot.... *i'm typing with one hand.*

But why would one not see if someone wasn't really hurt? I mean i could have broken my leg...or split my head open....

me being a drama queen shouldn't have made a difference if someone would yell or come to the top of the stairs to say "are you ok?".

*even though i got "most dramatic" when i was in high school*

And it was right at the end of american idol.

Your parents ussualy know the cues that you give off when you are irritated, kind of hurt, or really hurt. Let me try to explain:

I have three boys and one is a screamer. He's very vocal with even the smallest scratch or bump. (This is fine with me, it's just his way. Him being that vocal comes with many loud laughs and fun conversations). The other two are more quiet and more likely to moan a bit, but that is all.

Now: If my screamer screams, I don't take it too seriously because that's a normal response to even a minor bump or bruise. However, if one of the quieter one's let out a scream like that, I'm immediately concerned.

Do you understand? It's not that they care less, but they know you and your reactions...all of which are individual to you.

I hope this helps :)

That is really weird. Assuming you are not on bad terms with the family I am gonna have to go ahead and say they probably did not hear you. Even though you were really loud if they were busy they still may not have heard. Maybe you should it to their attention if you want some TLC.

When the others trip, did they shout or was it a loud thump with no scream?

If so, they asked because they didn't hear "aaah" or "****!".

You obviously yelled, which means you are alive.

Maybe they all think you're a bit of a dramma queen who would have let them know if she was actually injured. Tell them how you feel anyway.

That's really too bad. Maybe it's the cry woof thing... maybe they just hear too much of it and ignore it. That'd be too bad though.
