It's her attitude and body language when she says it. A nice 'no thanks' is ok, a 'I'm better than you' NO is unacceptable.

Can't she tell the truth AND say yes? Unless she knows the guy very well already and doesn't like him, what's the harm in spending a couple of hours together? The guy could end up being the love of her life. Why say no? What's the worst that can happen?--she gets a free ham sandwich?

if some woman isn't interested, i definately appreciate a polite no thanks rather than her saying ok to a second date just to be blown off and left to get the hint. rejection is never fun but i'm capable of respecting a womans decision and move on without thinking bad of her. everyone has a right to their opinion. honesty is always the best thing to have, just try to be polite about it

Not all gusy are like that. its just the way a woman repsonds that is annoying. Of course the honest answer is the best. But it wouldnt hurt to lie sometimes.

guys who say (because usually they don't really believe it) that a girl is a jerk who says no to them --- they are usually just reacting in the only way they know how to rejection.

until people in general (guys and girls) learn to deal with rejection in a healthy way, the first reaction is usually to resort to anger to hide that our feelings are hurt.

no one wants to say "my feelings are hurt" but that's what is actually happening when they start getting mad.
