I'm 15, 5'8" and 130lbs...I don't think I'm fat, I just don't think that 130lbs for me is acceptable - it's a very bad number for me. I want to be 120lbs at the VERY LEAST. I need to lose weight in ONE MONTH (no particular reason, just have to). How do I do this?

What should I eat? What should I not eat? What kinds of exercises should I do. I'm planning on eating only leafy green vegetables, celery, carrots, things like that. No carbs or meats. I plan to run 3 days a week for about a mile and a half, is this good or bad? I really need to know what types of exercises will drop 10/15lbs fast (well, relatively fast).

**Muscle toning** - since muscle ways more than fat and I'm partially judging by the scale, would it be best to lose weight first and THEN tone?

*My arms are already toned from years of swimming, so can I just skip toning them and focus of losing the weight off of them?

Hi! Not much time, so I'll give you bullet points. 130 is a good weight for 5'8'', and depending on your bone structure, might even be underweight. BUT - what I'm writing here can't really hurt you - it will keep you at a slender, ideal weight:
-Swear off any foods with High Fructose Corn Syrup. Read the labels, you might be surprised. It's in almost everything.

- Lots of cardio! but no more than 60 min of heavy cardio a day - at this point, if you don't have enough carbs or energy, your muscles can begin to deteriorate and you will put too much stress on your body for you to be able to lose weight the way you want.

- COMPLEX carbs are good - your body needs them for energy. If you don't get enough good carbs and good fat (avocados, certain nuts) your body will go into "starvation mode" and ANYTHING you do eat will be stored - leading to weight gain (it's all so complicated, isn't it?!?! argh)

- If you plan on not eating meat, I suggest drinking a good low cal protein mix (from GNC or Vitamin Shoppe) to make sure you get enuf protein to maintain yourself. About 1 gram for every pound of body weight is the rule of thumb.

-lots of veggies and fiber (you got that in your plan already. good!)

-lots lots lots of water

-high reps of low weights or calisthenics (push ups n' stuff) to stay toned but not bulk up. MAKE SURE YOU STRETCH to get that "dancers body" look.

- stand up straight. this is really important

- DON'T STARVE YOURSELF OR DO ANY "WEIRD" ONE-FOOD DIETS . you'll waste time and eventually cause more weight gain and health probs

-try talking to a nutritionist and personal trainer

- :) think happy thoughts! Stress and depression are associated with weight gain. Good luck!

You're being vague--why do you NEED to lose 10 pounds in a month? Why not 5 pounds? Why not just focus on toning up?

1) You need to step off the scale. Obviously you're just looking at that. You're 5'8. Being anything less than 125 is not healthy.

2) Eat in moderation. Eat veggies and fruits, and drink water. Eat when you're hungry, stop when you're full. It's not that hard.

3) Do SOMETHING each night . Try running 12 minutes each night. It doesn't sound like much, but right now I have no idea as to your exercise schedule.

4) Nothing is going to happen quickly. Once you accept that, you'll be able to ENJOY yourself more.

It is not healthy to loose that much weight in that much time, I am a vegetarian and it seems going vegetarian(not vegan) is the best way to go. You wil feel heathier and you will loose weight. You can find 1 serving of vegetables for less than 1 dollar. Dont stop eating the things you regularly eat, if you are a vegitaren you can still eat spaghetti and pizza(not that you would want to if yoyu are trying to loose weight) it is good for you and your skin and hair will thank you. An\other interesting fact is it takes 5 pounds of grain to make 1 pound of meat and the livestock in america produces 3 time the amount of waste humans do

Well if you are going to run it is probalby good to eat some meat or at least get your proteins . I don't know how long it takes you to run a mile and a half but try to run for at least 30 minutes . Do not eat any thing that is sweet and drink water instead of juice .
If you have fat you can gain muscle faster so if you want to build some muscle you shouldnt burn all your fat then start working . If you start only eating fruits and vegetable you will lose all muscle .

riding a bike or taking some kind of cycling class will do wonders in like a week. not eating sweets at all for a few days is supposed to make a nice flat tummy. I think sit ups take to long so go outside and play soccer or basketball. have fun while you exercise, it'll be A LOT easier.

Try the Isagenix Cleanse. It's awesome. You drink shakes and have a meal every day. The cleansing makes you really feel great. I am doing it and I love it.

Count your calories - Don't eat over 1,000 in a day. You will lose weight, even if you do not exercise; really.
