Pagan is a general term used to cover many different belief systems. It usually means one who is not a Christian/Jew/Muslim or part of organized religion. You should look at the info beliefnet has as well as http://paganwiccan.about.com/ They both give basic info for Paganism. It's Earth-based religions, meaning most (not all) believe that all of life is sacred. We see ourselves as part of nature, instead of something that is outside of nature, looking in.

This is all general info though. Not all Pagans believe this exact thing. And, while reading, please keep in mind that though Wicca is considered Pagan, it does not represent ALL of Paganism.

that's interesting. I'm a devout Atheist and it came up Universal Unitarian or something.

As far as religions go- Paganism sounds nice. No organization power structure to get corrupt. So- it might be the perfect think for you. a little 'woo woo' for me- but at least non-offensive.

Sounds like a New Ager. A pinch of science, a pinch of metaphysics, some alternative medicine... shake well and serve hot.
