Brits have way better soldiers. The British Army is without a doubt is the best army in the world. It may not always have the best equipment and technology, but the British army has definitely got the best trained, most skilled and professional soldiers in all the world.
The SAS are without doubt the best special services in the world, not the Navy SEALs. The SAS have a brilliant track record of success after success playing huge roles across the world.
-------------------------------
The U.S. have high-tech military technologies. But again, US Army relies too heavily on technology.

For the airforce, Israeli pilots are the best !

I was stationed at RAF Brawdy Wales, its one of the main training wings in the RAF. I was there for 3 years (US Navy) and without a doubt the USAF is better trained, have better equipment, and more important, more time in the air. If your talking about flying the Harrier, the RAF has the upper hand but they designed and built the plane.
As for the question about the Marines, its a toss up. We're were given training by the Royal Marines because we had to support (security wise) our own building. No Marines allowed! Depending on the situation, I would have to say the RM would have the upper hand, man per man. In other areas, the US Marines would have the upper hand. In either case, I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of either one.
I'm 4th generation Navy (OT2). As my Dad (FTC in WWII) would say they(Marines) were nothing but "A bunch of Sea Going Bell Hops!"! BTW, his ship was sunk at the Slot, it took 58 hits in 15 minutes, half the crew was killed. There were more sailors killed that night than at Pearl. He spent 3 days in the water before being picked up.

My only answer as to why the Marines get the toughest jobs is because the average Leatherneck is a much better fighter. He has far more guts, courage, and better officers... These boys out here have a pride in the Marine Corps and will fight to the end no matter what the cost.
2nd Lt. Richard C. Kennard, Peleliu, World War II
Why in hell can't the Army do it if the Marines can. They are the same kind of men; why can't they be like Marines.

I would say that the Brits are a first class operation in all areas. As far as their aircraft technology it is equal to the U.S., but on a smaller scale. For example the P51 Mustang of WW2 used a British aircraft engine (Merlin). Also, the Harrier is a British made aircraft. As far as their training we (U.S.) have shaped our military to resemble theirs. I would say that they are not stronger than the U.S. but, they would be a match against anyone attacking their home island.

no. americas military spends more money on military training and equipment than all the other countries in the world combined. the USN's ship's tonnage together totals more than the next 17 countries navies combined. britain is kind of sneeky, but when it comes to raw power, america is on top. and you trusted comments about borat. well your going to be depending on this so i guess i shouldnt takl
