I have a boyfriend that is a year and a half younger then me. All of my life I have had this "idea" oh what I wanted my life to be like. Well my idea was nice house, 3-5 kids, husband with a good job so that I could stay home and raise my kids. Well my boyfriend wants to be a mechanic of some sort... I am really torn on what to do. Because I am totally against dating a guy for no reason because I think it is leading him on. I do love him though. Advice please??

If you really love him then you will stick by him no matter what. But if that is not what you want, you should let him go.

what is the problem with ur boyfriend's profession??? that s an honest job, and he will be making money. and u said it urself... U LOVE HIM, stop being so materialist and just enjoy what u have with him. and another thing... the world spins around a heck of a lot in this universe. what u ve always dream may or may not ever come true, but if u really want it, u must work hard for it, and if u really love ur boyfriend, i assume that s because u trust him, and u know he will be there for u to support u. if u have his support, then i guess u guys can really work it out, and try to achieve both of ur goals. and stop thinking so much about the future. we dont always get what we want, but we should always enojoy what we have and grasp onto it, especially if it's some1 u love. or would u rather be with a millionaire who will be unfaithful to u and wont give u the respect u deserve??? just work hard for what u want, and the same way i assume ur boyfriend supports u... u do the same for him, give him some support!!!

Girl in the first place. Why would you like to stay at home and don't work? Come on you must try to be independent. Take this for example what if he meets a girl in his age group and decided to leave you for her where are you going to get money to take care of the kids.I know you are not thinking to be a next house wife to the next husband you will have the same thing can happen all over again, any way if your bf wants to be a mechanic if it pays allow him to do the career.

We don't always get what we want. You either break up with the boyfriend so that he can find someone who thinks a mechanic is good enough for her (and lots of women do) or you abandon your fantasy of stay-at-home motherhood to help your mechanic husband support your family. Your choice.

If you loved him you would support his dreams and ambitions. If he wants to be a mechanic support him he may open up his own shop and that can be really good money. But it seems like you know what you want to do. In your heart you may not really want to be with him and your trying to find any excuse to be out..

no offense but you sound pretty rude. re-evaluate your life. if you really want 3-5 kids and a nice house then go for it. if you love this guy, stay with him.

That's no big deal. You're bound to break up eventually since he doesn't fit into your planned lifestyle. Just enjoy the ride while it lasts.
