I worked for a dentist and we did BriteSmile. It cost around $500 but it's instant and it will last about 5 years. It can change the shade of your teeth up an average of 6 to 8 shades. If you are still in school I would recommend getting some bleaching trays made at your dentist. Then buy the gel (even online). Trays are about $400 then the gel varies. A higher percentage of perioxide the better but not if your teeth are senstive..be careful then. Good luck.

I have actually been using Lysterine whitening mouthwash. You use it twice a day, for one minute, and then rinse. It says it takes 12 weeks to work, well I have been using it for about 2 weeks, and my teeth are already showing a huge difference. For added results, brush your teeth with a colgate whitening toothpaste. I hope it works for you as well.

I had my teeth whitened at the dentist and now I periodically "touch them up" on my own. I use peroxide based gels; they work best for me. I leave the trays in overnight and repeat for several days. (My dentist said it was OK). There is some gum irritation, but it works better than strips for me. Good luck.

Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and
are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural
tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries
but certain precautions have to be followed. details

Try Crest Whitestrips - my dentist recommended them to me after I asked about getting my teeth whitened professionally, and then realized that as a college student I couldn't afford it... I tried them, and I had to stop using them... they worked so well that my fillings became visible - I have 2 fillings on my front teeth that were made to match my tooth color... after using the whitestrips for about 10 days, you could definately see that my teeth were whiter, as my fillings looked yellow.

Before whitening, keep in mind that nothing will alter the color of any fillings or veneers that you have, so if you have fillings that are visible, you will have to get them redone to match your whiter teeth!!!

hmm let me think this is a difficult one. but i have been using something for a long time that has worked miracles for me. first you go to any store and buy a toothbrush. ask someone at the counter if you don't know what one looks like they will help you find it. then you buy something called toothpaste it's a type of creamy paste you put on your toothbrush and then you brush that paste into your teeth for a few minutes, then you wash the paste offf with water. it works miracles on me you should try a toothpaste and brush and they are very INexpensive.

Make sure you get a flouride treatment after you whiten your teeth. You can use peroxide, by mouthwashing with it. Peroxide gets into the holes that have the stains, and doesn't just "dye" the teeth. But, after 2 weeks of this, be SURE TO get your flouride treatment.
