I have a colleague at work who keeps looking at me in a real uncomfortable weird way. I threatened him indirectly but he keeps that on and on! Nothing serious but his teasing looks and flirting words. Any help in this regards?

if you are in USA, bring it to attention of your manager, if the guy is making you uncomfortable. If management knows & ignores, you have grounds for sexual harassment lawsuit

Well, you should not need to threaten him and if you do it should not be indirect. He could just be shy or something.

Ignore his flirts.

I'd say, start saying things, like "don't you have work to do?" really coldly.

Basically ignore the guy like he does not exist.

Its always a judgement call. If he gets too bad, he will probably get fired so you have to think carefully about when you get serious or not. There certainly is a time when you can and should go for that option but generally its better to avoid it except when its absolutely necessary.

In the end, the guy has to do his job. If he's spending all his time flirting he's not working

Sounds like sexual harassment. Stop with the "indirect" threats. Tell him OUTRIGHT that if he keeps it up, he will be explaining himself to human resources. And PLEASE document the incident. If it gets to the point where you have to file a lawsuit, you'll need proof that you tried to put a stop to it.

Don't sleep with him unless he is your boss.
