Definitely yes! If you and your spouse share a great rapport nothing else matters.
The secret of winning over "people with difference" is by showing love and respect. Try blessing the other person- wish her happiness ,health, peace, prosperity, friendship from you.Wholeheartedly try this- though your heart rebels against
make up your mind to do this and the result is no doubt positive. This is mind power and i have practically felt the change. You can make everyone your friends. The great vedathiri maharishi has told about this and i being his disciple have understood this truth. But be sure its from your heart.every thing lies with you.
Wishing you the best in life friend.

Yes, it is possible. Just try to avoid situations where the 2 of you are together as much as you can. And for holidays, hopefully there will always be a roomful of other people so you and she don't have to interact any more than absolutely necessary.
Do not ask your husband to take sides, after all she gave him life and she will always be his mother. Just try for his sake to make things as easy as possible.
But at the same time, he will need to realize that you are his wife now and if anything is said by her about you, he needs to stand up to her, be polite, but firm and tell her that you are the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with...

Yes it is. My husband and I stay away from his mom as much as possible. He is aware she is looking to break us up. She has succeeded in doing so with my brother in law, as he is now divorced and every woman he dates she has a problem with. You and your husband are a team and need to stick together.

Yup. But it is very important that you and your spouse cooperate with each other and decide together about how much of a relationship you have with m-i-l.
The two of you together should decide how often you visit, when and how often she is allowed to visit, how much time she spends with your kids (if there are any), and how much of your life she is privy to. Also, make it very clear to your spouse that he/she is not to overlook disrespectful treatment that m-i-l might try to dish out.
