My brother and I are adopted. My brother and my 1st cousin have had this 'thing' since they were very young...the whole family can attest to it. Now, they are living together and seem very happy. I guess as long as they are happy, then who is anyone to judge? My only concern is that my brother has a son from a previous marriage and my cousin has two sons from a previous marriage. I haven't asked, but I feel as if they've explained the situation very clearly because none of the boys seem to have any troubles. I almost feel as if this new male role model (as in my brother) is having a positive impact on the boys' lives.

Yeah I had that and they've been married for 40 years and my grandmother went outside of her town in Arkansas to find a husband since everyone up in the town was related and there were cases of cousins marrying each other.

The relationship has got out of date. If a well settled man is liking and wants to marry, marriage is taking place and dad's countin likes your sister and hence married. You also thought of but you sister became a lucky girl to be wedded with him.

I think it's fine but marrying your dad or a brother/sister is wrong they have to many genes that are the same and it can screw up the baby (If you decide to have a baby). Love can find anyone it's freaky!!!

sounds like an arranged marriage
its common in india as it is customary for a daughter to marry her uncle.
in some places it is almost expected that u would marry your uncle
in my opinion growing up in the United states i feel it very wrong
but if u were to grow up in such places u see that there is nothing wrong with that
let your parents know how u feel about things like that

My dad's sister married her mothers cousin. And believe me they had four beautiful kids and I never knew until I was in my twenties that that part of the family tree didn't truly fork. And I once dated my adpoted Cousin.

There is nothing wrong with your sister marrying your dad's cousin. They are considered as long-distanced cousin.

So, basically. Your sister married her cousin. If it is your dad's first cousin then it would be her second cousin? Umm....is it her dad too? Or is she just the same mom as you. Wow. that is crazy
