How long does it take you to get U.S. citizenship after a successful interview?

... Is a 2.5 year wait long, or normal?

... tried writing to several offices and even the Senator - even they inquired about the status of the case - no answers. It's a mystery.

that's a little long. you might want to check into that. my mother had her interview in september of 2004 and in june of 2005 she become a US citizen, so eight months it took her. and it only took me 4 months after my interview.
