Before you get a drug test there is a disclaimer or some kind of sheet that lets you write down what medications you are taking. If it's a prescribed drug you have nothing to worry about. They won't do this unless you get the job, so no use worrying about it right now if you don't even know if you'll get the job.

Also, you don't need to tell them anything at all at the interview point regarding your health. All you're doing is selling yourself and what your abilities are...this is the one time that you are allowed to boast about yourself and feel confident about it.

Don't tell them about the storm phobia at the interview, but when they do the drug test, tell them what medications you are taking. It might show up as false positive for drugs of abuse.

If you get hired, and get through your probationary period, go ahead and tell your personnel department and get a statement from your doctor (if you think the storm phobia might affect your job peformance). It is illegal for them to fire you for having a mental health condition (Americans with Disabilities Act). If you want more information about that, check out the web site link.

Do not tell the interviewer that you have a mental illness. If you get hired, you can inform the place performing the drug test that you have a script for a certain medication.

don't tell them anything. It's none of their business. If they discriminate against you because of an illness or condition, they can get sued. Unless it affects you ability to do your job, don't say a word about it.
