I didn't specify the religion because I felt that most people on this site are either Christian or atheist/agnostic. Furthermore, Hinduism doesn't even have a Hell.

Those who claim that Christianity doesn't confuse me. Many proclaim all over this forum, "You are going to Hell for not accepting Jesus Christ as your saviour."

What makes Gandhi any different?

Religion hasn't the authority to condom anyone.. I will let God make the judgments. I will just try to obey Him and tell people when salvation can be found... That is through faith in Jesus Christ.. Jim

Which religion condemns Gandhi to hell? If so, that hell is quite fortunate and be saved to become a heaven.

You are are right; as per the christianity sales people's belief those who live the life like Christ will go to hell, but those who screw around with their life, but say Jesus is their savior will go to heaven.

This illustrates one of the frustrations in trying to deal with "Christians." Most have never been taught a single solitary shred of doctrine, like those who posted you are saved if you are a good person. Nothing in the Bible or any denominational dogma says any such thing. But I was raised methodist and never heard of the Atonement until a Youth for Christ festival. Christians, by and large, are almost entirely clueless about what they are supposed to believe, what the Bible says, what it means. That's why you have hundreds of denominations. Outside Roman Catholicism Christianity is just a free for all with everyone going their own way and believing whatever they're told that suits them.

Actually my mom has been to india and met one of the people who worked closely with Gandhi. Gandhi secretly became a christian towards the end of his life. You can see a change in the speechs he gave after accepting Christ. He only told his close friends and coworkers however. Since im a christian i know he'll be in heaven. If u don't believe me fly to india yourself.

According to the Bible, Gandhi will be resurrected.

Yes, Jesus will call Gandhi.

Joh 5:28 Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice

So, who do you really direct the question to?

It cannot be atheist, or the Buddist.

The Bible doesnt teach that ANYONE is going to hell. It very clearly states: "The wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23). If people state differently out of their own ideas, then its not a problem with the religion, but with the distorted minds of the people in it.

Actually, Hinduism does have a hell, it's just not permanent (this may very with the particular sect). I am a Deist and I do not believe Gandhi is in Hell. I do not believe a just God allows such a place to exist.

which religion are you talking about? it certainly isnt christianity. and if thats what you mean then you need to read the bible again. God does not condemn someone for believing in something else. If you are a good person then you will go to heaven for sure! and i am very sure gandhi is a very good person!

My religion does not condemn anyone to hell, only God can make that decision. But, if it helps, I believe Gandhi has done more humanitarian work than I have so maybe....

the holy bible states plain that if a person does no repent of his or her sins that at their death there souls will be cast into hell. fact are the word of God ..if you don,t believe what God declares about hell, and by the way hell was not even prepared for man in the first place, hell was prepared for the devil and his angles that had war with God in heaven, and was thrown down to earth.. we then since the devil was here at the time God made Adam and eve , the first living people he tempted them to sin against God commandment, and then is when condemnation come to all me , then God sent Christ and him being the sacrifice to have a remedy for sin, that why man is to repent to Christ and be purified threw his blood for the forgiveness of sins , that they might have a eternal heaven and not be thrown into the hell with the devil. but if you don,t believe this it will be counted as crap so i have wasted my time in explaining
