Theres a girl in my grade that i am completely infatuated with, which sounds really lame, but its true. we come from different social cliques, she is a popular girl and i'm a skater. occasionally we've bumped into each other or something and talked a little but nothing substantial, i doubt she notices me much. whats the best way to get closer to her?

I sooo get your problem. I'm assuming you're in middle or high school, so you two have different classes. In that case, you don't exactly get to see each other much, but if you're really deeply in love with her, that shouldn't stop you. What you have to do is try to find out info about her. See if you two have any common ground. Maybe you both hate sushi, or something like that. With that info, try to start up a conversation if you bump into her. If you find out that she's not into skater dudes, just stay cool. Don't change your whole personality. Trust me, that does you no good. Be smooth about it, and like I said, start up a conversation.Maybe by talking to you, you guys could become friends. Or even more. The next time you get a chance to speak with her, go for it. Start off by giving her compliment. And when talking with her, avoid these things: 1.Pick-up lines (I'm a girl and I know that once a guy blurts out a sour line, his rep with the girl is seriously damaged. Don't take the chance!) 2.Talking about weight (Never-and I mean NEVER talk to a girl about weight, but if she asks you if she's chubby or something like that, then you can answer.) 3. Don't laugh so noisily(People don't realize that when they're laughing at a bad joke, most don't know when to STOP laughing.) 4. Don't change the subjects so abruptly (When you're talking to her, let her know that you're actually listening to what she has to say.)

Answering my question. haha sorry.. I don't know what else to say.. umm I guess talking to her even more and becoming her friend. Try to make her laugh. That almost always works. Leave little anonymous notes for her.

Aww.. it sounds like romeo and juliet!! In highschool (i'm in highschool) popularity is a big issue.. but you know what it never hurts to ask her out.. She can't laugh at you unless she's a B-I-T-C-H because honestly if you asked me out I'd be so flattered. you sound intelligent and a real gentleman.. I wish I could find a guy like you. You need to man up and start talking to her, like about music and stuff, and see if you pick up any cues, like her smiling a lot, laughing at your witty jokes, making eye contact, etc. If u pick up on a couple of those then ask her out. If she disses you then put on some emo rock like My Chemical Romance and cry....

Ask her if she can help you with some homework over lunch... And offer her compensation... For example you pay for her to help you... It might not sound right.... but at least it'll be worth her time.... And act natural... Lol... :-) Good luck, tell me how it goes....

Ok well popular girls try to get the other pops. to like them so if her friends dont like you then your gone but if they like and so does she you are in...o yea emo rock rocks and so does mcr so dont let anyone tell you they dont rock your sox off!!!!!!!!! lol im a skater to and liked a pop. but it didnt work out so just live life to the fullest and see wat happens... let me now how things went dude im in a bitt of a pickle also with people i like so just yea...rock and roll baby!!!!!!!!!

just find reasons to talk to her... if you see her walking alone then go walk with her and ask her how she is... if you have any classes together ask about an assignment or talk about the teacher....
