One of the best dogs foods is Natural Balance. It does not have dye, corn, wheat, or a lot of tomato pumace lunlike Purena or Iams. (by the way, those were all bad stuff for dogs)
Reasons You Should Be Feeding Your Dog Natural Balance
All Lifestages Formula, can be fed from puppy through adulthood.
Fresh Chicken, Fresh Duck, New Zealand Lamb Meal. Three premium quality meats (no by-products). The optimum source of highly digestible protein will greatly reduce the chance of developing an allergy due to everyday (over) exposure to just one or two meat proteins.
Fresh Carrots. An excellent source of vitamin A and beta carotene.
Oatmeal. An exceptional source of carbohydrates, fiber, thiamin, and vitamin E. Not widely used in pet food because of cost, it does not contain the allergy causing glutens found in other grains.
Skin and Coat. Optimum amounts of omega-3 and omega-6. Lecithin, linoleic acid, flaxseed oil, vitamin E, biotin, and kelp are used in the correct ratios to result in an excellent skin and coat.
Fresh Potatoes. Rich in potassium and an excellent source of highly digestible carbohydrates for energy.
Does not contain Soy, Wheat, Eggs,or Dairy Products.
Vitamin C. Aids in maintaining the integrity of the cell structure, as well as diminishing the effects of illness.
Natural Balance is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the A.A.F.C.O. dog food nutrient profile for all life stages.
I highly recomend this food for anyone looking for the best food avalible.

Here are a few that are good: Solid Gold, Wellness, Canidae, Timberwolf Organics, Innova, and Artemis Fresh Mix, there are several more but these are really good. They may be a bit pricey initially but they come out cheaper because you feed less. These are 100% human grade dog food with NO corn, wheat, soy, grain fractions, fillers or by products – and naturally preserved.

The link I have provided sells dog food online but you can also look up the ingredients (on this site) to any of the ones I have listed plus any other dog foods you may be interested in, they have many brands listed.
The best thing you can do is research the different brands. Meat should be the first ingredient and the foods should NOT contain corn, wheat, soy, beef or by-products and it should also be made from human grade ingredients.

If the dog foods first main ingredients are meat, as in beef or chicken it is usually a good dog food. If they start out as corn or and of the meals, it is not a good dog food.

I use Nutro Max Large Puppy Breed:) It helps them kepp the fat off and keep them muscular:) My Pit and Rot that I have both were alittle fat and now that Ive been feeding them it they are very muscular.... I used to use Purina but I asked the vet and they told me that as a puppy yes you can feed them it but when they get older they start to get suck:) But anything between: Nutro Max/Nutro Choice, Iams, Purina and Science Diet are good for them there's a couple others but its up to you.... When you pick the dog food make sure you look on the back for the percent of fat you need the lowest one... But Good Luck:)

I feed my Animals IAMS Dog and Cat food. (dry) It is on the top list of best brands.
The first ingredient should always be the meat in a pet food.
It shouldn't include a lot of fillers, like corn and biproducts.
Read the label and make sure that it has a balanced diet with healthy ingredients, vitamins and nutrients.
If you still have your doubts, ask you Vet what he would suggest for your pet.

purina is THE best, but it is expensive. if you can afford it, its the best out there. if you can't, most brands are ok. just try to stay away from off brands. food lion type stuff is not good for your dog because it is full of fillers, and it causes your dog to poop more.

it depends on the dog. some dogs have sensitive stomaches. the best thing to do is pick one based on your dogs age and weight, then go from there.
