Hmm there is no such thing as the smartest religion. I think their are smart people in all religions. And this could open up a huge debate between every religion on the planet. Thats why millions of people aroung the world are killing each other. So rather than focus on religion focus on spirituality.

Statistically, according to internal numbers of MENSA, an association for those persons who possess an IQ of 148 and over, it is either an agnostic or an atheist (87-93% are either agnostic or atheist according to our numbers). Further support for atheism can be found among the various professional associations of physicists, astronomers, mathematicians, engineers, and biologists, who often report over 90% of their members as atheists. For the record, a religion is defined as a system of beliefs or a belief in a god, gods, or otherworldly beings. So as a system of beliefs, it looks like the smartest religion is atheism.

I think hinduism is the smartest because at its core are vedas that are based on experiences and realization. Those experiences and relization can be felt by anyone, whenever they are ready, if they follow the same or similar path the original folks who experienced is taken. But like you said, today smatest religion may be the one followed my many people: that is Christianity (though none of those follow what Christ said & did.)

Sounds like you like Wicca. I agree that Catholics have produced the most scientists in history. But I have to wonder if Christian Science and the ORIGINAL Dianetics weren't also right up there.

This question isn't going to be answered very well, mostly because every bigot out there is going to put down their own religion.
