but i think it is a bit "sadistic" to make fun of them since it is soo easy...
for instance the one who asks if you are a prochoice, would you help your cousin commit suicide or something like that, is it not cruel just to answer that question????

Not really. I like to think that I don't judge others too harshly. I just try to answer their questions.

I'm not an "atheist" so to speak..but I feel really embarrassed for Christians when the far right religious start acting up. They always seem to have the loudest voice and try to speak for all Christians. I'm talking about the people picketing gay pride parades or soldiers funerals, when they really should be volunteering at a homeless shelter (which is what Jesus would be doing). It's like having the stupid red neck brother-in-law speaking for the whole family. I cringe for them.

I'm a Christian and I get embarrased by some of the air-headed arguments I've heard Christians make.

Atheists cannot prove Christianity or any religion is wrong and no religion can prove atheism is wrong. It is the burden of the believer to prove whatever they believe is right.
I get embarrassed for people in general, for example if I were watching a stupid runway show on T.V. and a model fell i would be embarrassed for them and then laugh.

They have my full sympathy when I think they are sincere and use an argument that has been long refuted. The one exception is Pascal's wager. Unfortunately, there are many insincere "Christians" who seek to deceive, not learn.

I'll pray that you find Wisdom.

Some of you like to argue, and pick.

Most of us people are here to learn, and help one another.

I am basically a Christian, but feel I don't need to be in a religion.
So you can call be whatever you like, since your type would anyways.

Life is too short to argue with true believers. In most cases, I don't even let them get started. I've found telling many believers "My beliefs are a private matter, and I do not discuss them with strangers," generally works. If they persist, a poke in the nose works well, too.

(OK, OK, just kidding)

There is no such thing as an atheist. Those who call themselves atheists just don't want to think about God because He may interfere with the life they have chosen to live. A person who wants to do right will naturally seek God. People who love sin will run away from God and will not want to hear about Him.

I do cringe sometimes. Pascal's wager is the worst, because I know there'll be 20 answers explaining it and telling the questioner that they're stupid.
