The voltage (230 V 50 Hz) is the same but the plugs and sockets are different. In Ireland a Type G three pin plug with a 13 amps fuse is used, while in France they use a type E plug which is a two pin plug with a 16 amps fuse. So you will need a Continental adaptor.
