I am a man who was raised primarily by my mother and I do feel that we make better partners. My mother showed me how to respect a woman, how to treat a woman, and most importantly how to really "feel". I was taught how to cook, clean, sew; but also how to communicate, listen. So yes, I feel we make better partners.

Wouldn't that b "paternal" men? Maternal means motherly. Paternal means fatherly. Men with well cared for pets (not show animals) will usually care for children well. This could be considered a form of basic paternalism.
